Comedy Writer and Author Merrill Markoe is prominently featured on CNN's critically acclaimed new history of comedy. She is a multiple Emmy award winning comedy writer who was instrumental in the creation of David Letterman's landmark series on NBC. Merrill is also the author of several bestselling books including Cool Calm and Contentious, Nose Down Eyes Up, Walking In Circles Before Lying Down and What Dogs Have Taught Me. Howie Klein is the founder and treasurer of the Blue America PAC which raises money for progressive candidates and writes the Down With The Tyranny Blog.

Merrill Markoe has authored three books of humorous essays and the novels It’s My F—ing Birthday and What the Dogs Have Taught Me which have been all published by Villard Books/Random House Publishing Group. She has also co-authored with Andy Prieboy the novel The Psycho Ex Game. Then there are the two talking dog novels: Walking in Circles Before Lying Down ( 2006 )which is now in its 24th printing and Nose Down, Eyes Up which was published by Random house in 2009 A fourth book of humorous essays, published by Random house is called Cool, Calm and Contentious. You definitely should buy it.
